After a weekend away to the West Coast with the fam, I thought I’d show you a neat trick I learned while sitting on the beach. Taking pictures of the scenery and the children, I decided to hold my polarized sunglasses that have a yellow filter on them in front of the camera lense to test the difference in pictures. Thought I’d share my findings.
Exhibit A:
And Exhibit B, literally same minute, same subjects location, etc with the sunglasses as a filter:
Pretty cool, I thought. Perhaps useless, but if you want a way to get an almost antiquated look out of ordinary photos, this is a low-budget way to do it.
i’m sure there’s a scientific explanation that doesn’t matter….your right,though, it’s a very cool look
even cooler is the obvious fun being had by the two subjects…..priceless.

Ooo. That’s clever! Nice pictures, too. 🙂 Water is pretty.
Water was pretty……and COLD.
Great trick! Gosh your kids are adorable, looks like the perfect day!
Thank you! That was the first time I’ve ever posted pictures of any of them on the www lol, but truth be told they were my subjects that day, and I had no other pictures without them… we had a lot of fun playing around.
